About the event

Join us for an exhibition reception featuring new paintings by Greenville painter Luis Jaramillo, at 6:00 PM, plus an artist talk at 6:30.

Jaramillo began architecture studies at Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, in 1971. After two years of architectural studies, Luis transferred to Universidad Del Atlantico Bellas Arte in his hometown of Barranquilla. At Bellas Arte, he studied Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Printmaking and the History of Western Art until 1975.

In 1976, Luis enrolled in The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, continuing his fine art studies. He earned a full scholarship at the academy, a private studio, and the Gimbel Prize for excellence in Painting. Today, he maintains a private studio in Greenville, South Carolina. A superbly creative and proflific artist, Jaramillo’s work includes painting, printmaking, and drawing. The artist will give a brief talk to present the paintings in this exhibition.

NOTE: This gallery is in a residential setting located near downtown Greenville, South Carolina. Parking is free, along the curb.

THROUGH: This exhibition continues through October 21, 2023. Regular hours are Tuesdays-Fridays 1-6 PM, Saturdays 1-4 PM. We step out for brief errands, please call ahead an hour or two.
